If you follow me on Facebook and Twitter, you've probably seen the preview picture I posted from the photo shoot I did for Controlling the Dead's cover and swag.
This shot will not be the cover shot, but it's one of the best. One of my favorite people posed as Kan. Laurin has been a great friend of mine for close to fourteen years.
We found the perfect spot, the weather was great, and we enjoyed all the weird looks we were getting from passersby.
Just imagine being with your family enjoying a nice hayride in a historic location and you bounce around to see a woman on top of a ladder taking pictures of another obscured woman with blood on her pants and holding a machete.

Definitely a day I won't ever forget.
I think she did a FANTASTIC job as Kan. We are already making plans for book three. =)
Anyway, this shot is not the cover shot, but I couldn't wait to show a preview.

DeleteI love it. It has a slight casual feel to it despite the blood and weaponry, almost like she's hiding from any action to catch her breath. Very awesome.
