Happy Spring

Happy Spring!
I know that some of you aren't going into spring, but here we are very excited!

My son is out of school on Spring Break and the weather feels like summer. We've been soaking up the rays, cooking out on our grill, and eating outside. We might even be able to swim this weekend if the weather continues to warm the pool up.
We finally cleaned our pool that had been growing green stuff as if swamp thing was living in it (no, my husband wouldn't let me take a picture of it). Not normal. It just stayed semi-warm throughout the winter.

In Tennessee, it is rare to have 85 degree weather in March.
I've seen people running around in their sundresses and flippity flops. Okay, so maybe that is me too.

Season Finale: Beside the Dying Fire... Lego style!

In honor of this very sad occasion I'm going to be posting some interesting Walking Dead Lego photos.
As always, I get these photos from the wall of Lego Zombie Apocalypse.
I never tire of their entertainment value and the work that goes into these awesome creations.

Seriously. This is one of the most coolest talents I've ever come across. I wish I knew who created them!
Now, if someone could just make a Lego Zombie Elvis, I could die happy.

Shane to meet his maker?

I know, I know. Third post in a row, but as The Walking Dead's season finale gets closer... forums are heating up on certain topics and speculations.

There is an ad for The Walking Dead Limited Edition Season 2 Blu-ray 4 disk set. AMC says it includes extras for Shane's last episode. Supposedly, I have yet to find the ad and if anyone knows where I can find it... please let me know. I don't want to reveal my source... I'm hoping it is wrong. They claim their source is AMC. *sniffle, sniffle*

Some people want Shane gone. Why? Because he disagrees with Rick? I think Rick needs Shane's perspective on the difficult scenarios they face everyday. Shane brings a certain conflict that was absent from the novels.

According to the novels, Shane should have died a long time ago. Say, the first or second episode by Carl's hand no less. Well, we know he won't be dying at the end of Carl's gun, because he can't even shoot a zombie. Truth be told, I'm glad he didn't... Dale was getting kind of whiny.
This is the comic page of Shane dying.

We all know I've come up with my own theory in my fantasyland. Could it be AMC set out rumors of Shane dying to overshadow the rumors of Michonne, since they didn't want the Michonne rumor leaked?
Maybe. Maybe not.

Don't worry, Shane. I will miss you.

Michonne of The Walking Dead

*****POST EDIT: MARCH 19*****

Michonne will be played by Danai Gurira!

Gorgeous... the resemblance to Michonne's drawings are amazing! I believe she is a fantastic edition to the Walking Dead Cast!

This is how she made her appearance:

Yeah, Awesome.

*****

For those of you who do not read The Walking Dead graphic novels, I'm going to tell you a little bit about Michonne and why I'm EFFIN' happy that she will make her first appearance in episode 13 of season 2.

Michonne made her appearance in the novels like this:
Yeah, that's her sporting two armless zombies (apparently they were formally her boyfriend and father).
Rick and the crew are suspicious of Michonne and when they tell her she cannot bring her pet zombies into the safety of the prison, she pulls a kung fu and cuts their heads off.

We happen to know she will be making her first appearance in E13 because one of the dumb ass armless extra's posted about it on his tumblr page.

Michonne is a badass sword weiding heroine who currently features on my top 10 badass heroine list, right up there with Lisbeth Salander. Yes, she gets brutally beaten and violated, but stands to live another day with revenge heavy on the heart.

There are rumors of Rutina Wesley playing the part. We all know her from True Blood as Tara. Which we all know, she was shot by Alcide's crazy... whatever she is, Debbie at the end of True Bloods previous season.
She might not be cast as Michonne for The Walking Dead, it is being kept hush, hush and all of this is just rumors.
Tara's character in True Blood annoyed me, but not as much as she does in the books. Despite this, I do believe Rutina is a good match for Michonne.

Only two more episodes. That is more depressing than The Walking Dead storyline itself.

David Morrissey as The Governor

I have recently been informed that the governor on the Walking Dead has been casted.

How did I not know this?

Anyway, season two has been gripping and falling more off the plot from the novels.
For those of you that have read the novels, we all know Shane died a long time ago by Carl's hand.
With that said, I was kind of hoping the show's writers would make Shane the Governor. Especially with recent events. They must have bigger plans for Shane (I really hope they don't kill him off).

Good news is there will be a third season. Yes, I did a happy dance in the middle of my living room.

None other than the British actor David Morrissey has been casted.
You can check out his filmography HERE!

I really hope the Governor is as screwed up as he was/is in the novels. The Rise of the Governor is an actual written novel that goes more into his background story. Who wouldn't want to know that story after getting to know his villainous character in the graphic novels.

Doomsday? Too be or not to be?

I've been informed the world is ending this year. I haven't just been informed... it's been known, but I wanted to blog about it. Honestly, I'm a wee bit tired of hearing about it.

Doomsday can be broken down like this:
People who take advantage of it, instill fear.
People who fear it, skirt around the issue.
People who don't believe it, make jokes.
Last but not least, the people who don't care either way.

There is an exact date. December 21, 2012.

First thought: Wow.

Second thought: I haven't even started my bucket list.

Third thought: I wonder how many people are going to make money off this.

Fourth thought: Well, it was suppose to end with the Rapture, right? I remember waking up thinking I was surrounded by nonbelievers, but I live in the Bible Belt.

Fifth thought: Oh well.

Do I think this will happen? No, because according to people throughout history, the world has been ending for thousands of years.

Doomsday Humor:

My point being: No one knows. Get over it. Live your life. Be Happy.
No point in dwelling because there's nothing you can do about it.

For more information on Doomsday, the History Channel runs program after program on the subject.
